LockMeister® 6 left
Schaller LockMeister® 6 Left-hand Tremolo – beyond your expectations  As the sole manufacturer of the world‘s most renowned double locking tremolo we felt it was time to push the envelope. Proudly introducing the new Schaller LockMeister™ Tremolo! Along with Schaller‘s famed precision the new LockMeister™ Tremolo offers a second to none C45-steel ground plate, forged and hardened in Germany, resulting in improved sound and sustain as well as superior tremolo performance and intonation.New technologies enabled us to craft all components in unprecedented tolerances giving the Schaller LockMeister™ Tremolo a sublime level of workmanship and longterm quality. But our attention to detail did not stop here. Performing meticulous assessments made us identify the perfect choice of pivot screws and tremolo springs. Through more rigorous testing we learned how all burnished surfaces were prone to corrosion. That‘s why all studs, inserts and screws of our new Schaller LockMeister™ Tremolo now feature black-zinc and black-chrome finishes for improved look, touch and durability. All this resulting in our world famous Schaller longevity. Tremolo mounting is done with special mounting studs and threaded metric inserts. These are provided with a fine thread. Optionally, we also offer height-adjustable wood screws for direct mounting into the wooden body. In this case, the insert is not required. The dimensions of our Tremolo LockMeister® are exactly the same as the dimensions of the Floyd Rose Tremolo. You can easily replace your Floyd Rose Tremolo with our new LockMeister® Tremolo. This also applies to all replacement parts! You can use an EVH D-Tuna. New height-adjusted one-piece string saddles for 12" tremolo-redius: no more shims needed between saddle and baseplate. LockMeister® 6
Schaller LockMeister® 6 Tremolo – beyond your expectations     Since its debut in 2012, the Schaller LockMeister® became the most advanced locking tremolo: 100 % Made in Germany – designed, engineered, and manufactured. Now we present the first double-locking tremolo that allows individual adjustment to different fretboards, whether straight or compound radius! The new LockMeister system can now be adapted to different fingerboard radii. While locking nuts (R2/R3) were previously only available with 10″ and tremolos with 12″, there are now 5 different locking nut radii and 4 different tremolo radii to choose from.   (Fig. 1: Schaller GmbH) The flowing transition from a strongly curved fingerboard in the lower registers to a flatter radius in the higher registers can now be realized exclusively with the new LockMeister system. This ensures better playability and more fun while playing the guitar.   Every single part is manufactured with the highest precision at Schaller on CNC machines, for brilliant and precise surfaces and a long service life! About guitar neck profiles and playability The neck profile, your own hand, and the fretboard radius determine comfort and playability. A rounder fingerboard conforms more to the natural curvature of the fingers, which is ideal for playing in lower registers, such as chords and barré grips. A flat radius provides a more even playing surface, ideal for bending and faster vertical playing in higher registers, which is often preferred for solos. Under pressure, it recedes. You can now put the guitar string through the adjusting axis. Screw the knurled screw clockwise until it is hand tight. The string is now secured by the clamping ball. Now you can tune your strings. Now featuring a metric thread and a specially developed screw locking device, so you don`t lose the screw anymore! Experience for yourself how sound quality, tuning stability and performance find unity in these machine heads. Special features Ultra-precise fits and contact surfaces, without polymer coating, produce perfect adhesive lubricity, free from wear or aging. The mechanism provides permanently locked, sealed and sealed screw connections, for maintenance and wear free performance. For the development, the common dimensions of series instruments were taken into account to guarantee trouble-free installation or replacement. Technical specifications  Gear ratio: 1:18, ensures exact and velvety tuning Weight single tuner: 18 g (Koa), 19 g (Perloid), 20 g (Galalith or Ebony), 21 g (Snakewood), 25 g (Butterbean) Button dimensions in mm (WxHxD): 20.4 x 13.8 x 10.4 mm (Butterbean), 17.6 x 13.7 x 6.1 mm all others Scope of delivery:2 x mounting screws each single tuner: M2.2 x 111 x press-in bushing each single tuner, hexagonal design, for mounting on solid headstocks, with outer diameter 8.8 mm, inner diameter 6.1 mm, suitable for 6.0 mm posts. No bushings are required for slotted headstock GT-models (these are not included in the scope of delivery)! Please note:Always use the original GrandTune bushings. The inner diameter is worked exactly for the 6 mm posts and gives the worm gear an exact alignment. Bushings with a larger inner diameter inevitably destroy the worm gear over time.Optional accessories: press-in bushings with 8.8 or 10 mmFor different drill hole diameters on headstocks, you will find common press-in bushings in a hexagonal (with 8.8 mm diameter) and a round design (with 8.8 and 10 mm) here: replacement kits for machine heads. Expanding the drillhole diameter for press-in bushings: If the tuner hole is too small, it is recommended to enlarge the diameter to the appropriate size. Always use a reamer to avoid splinters on the surface of the wood, or have the tuner installed by an instrument maker. Reamers for different diameters are available from Stewart MacDonald for example: peghead bushing reamersAdvantage of string roller deluxe posts on nylon string guitars: Compared to regular string roller posts, the string roller deluxe post features a special ball bearing at the end of the post. They eliminate a known problem of classical guitar machine heads and thus allow frictionless and noiseless tuning.Due to the ball bearing diameter of 10.0 mm and the post diameter of 9.8 mm, the post runs freely and unhindered on the bearing inside the headstock drilling. There is no longer any frictional resistance between the post and the wood. Cracking and creaking noises are thus effectively avoided.See also our other GrandTune designs for western and steel string guitars, classical guitars, electric guitars, archtops (jazz/thinline), resonator guitars, ukuleles or mandolins. Classic Hauser with guide bushings Classic Hauser without guide bushingsClassic Lyra with guide bushings Mandolin A-style non-reverse and F-Style reverse & non reverse PDF-file downloads GrandTune single guitar 1051 GrandTune single ukulele 1055 GrandTune user guide (Technical drawings without engagement.
