The avoidance of synthetic coatings makes it a perfectly resonant unit on any instrument. With its wear-free interaction it will shine and sound as long as your finest guitars. Experience for yourself how sound quality, tuning stability and performance find unity in these machine heads. Special features Their ultra-precise fits and contact surfaces, without polymer coating, produce perfect adhesive lubricity, free from wear or aging. The mechanism provides permanently locked, sealed and sealed screw connections, for maintenance and wear free performance. For the development, the common dimensions of series instruments were taken into account to guarantee trouble-free installation or replacement. Technical specifications  Model: GrandTune Single guitar an ukulele Gear ratio: 1:18, ensures exact and velvety tuning Weight single tuner: 18 g (button Koa), 19 g (Perloid), 20 g (Galalith, Ebony), 21 g (Snakewood), 25 g (Butterbean) Button dimensions in mm (WxHxD): 20.4 x 13.8 x 10.4 mm (Butterbean), 17.6 x 13.7 x 6.1 mm all others Product configurator for the desired GrandTune on your instrument: Select a surface color such as Nickel, Chrome, BlackChrome, Gold, Ruthenium or SatinPearl to match the rest of the hardware on your instrument. Next, you will be asked for the model, depending on mounting position and the headstock design. Either "single left" for left-hand arrangement, "single right" for right-hand arrangement, or "3 + 3", each left and right. (see info above right "Definition left and right machine heads"). Now choose from the buttons like Koa, Perloid, Galalith, Ebony, Snakewood or Butterbean (in surface color). Based on the headstock design and thickness, whether solid with sideways arrangement of the buttons, or slotted with rear arrangement of the buttons, the appropriate length of the posts must be selected. For solid panels, our range offers solid posts with 19.7 or 21.7 mm, for slotted (14.65 mm), string rollers (15.9 mm) and string rollers deluxe (16 mm). More information "How do I find suitable posts for my machine head?" and "Info to posts with images" in the configurator at the top right. Depending on the headstock design, there are various possibilities for installation in e.g. acoustic and steel string guitars, concert guitars, electric guitars, archtops (jazz/thinline), resonator guitars, ukuleles or mandolins. Please also have a look at our other GrandTune models in the webshop like Classic Hauser, GTC Hauser (without guide bushings 10 mm), Classic Lyra or for Mandolin (reverse and non reverse). Scope of supply 2 x mounting screws (each single tuner) (M2.2 x 11) 1 x press-in bushing (each single tuner), hexagonal design, for mounting on solid headstocks, with outer diameter 8.8 mm, inner diameter 6.1 mm, suitable for 6.00 mm posts. Slotted posts are  without bushings!          Please note: Always use the original GrandTune bushings. The inner diameter is worked exactly for the 6 mm posts and gives the worm gear an exact alignment. Bushings with a larger inner diameter inevitably destroy the worm gear over time. Optional accessories: press-in bushings with 8.8 and 10 mm diameter: Instrument makers and replacement parts manufacturers use different drill hole diameters for headstocks. We offer the most common press-in bushings dimensions in hexagonal, with 8.8 mm, and in round design, with 8.8 and 10 mm here » replacement kits for machine heads. Expanding the drillhole diameter for press-in bushings: If the tuner hole is too small, it is recommended to enlarge the diameter to the appropriate size. Always use a reamer to avoid splinters on the surface of the wood, or have the tuner installed by an instrument maker. Reamers for different diameters are available from Stewart MacDonald » Peghead bushing reamers for example. Advantage of string roller deluxe GT-posts for classical guitars: The string roller deluxe GT features a special ball bearing at the end oft he post. They eliminate a known problem of classical guitar machine heads and thus allow frictionless and noiseless tuning. Due to the ball bearing diameter of 10.0 mm and the post diameter of 9.8 mm, the post runs freely and unhindered on the bearing inside the headstock drilling. There is no longer any frictional resistance between the post and the wood. Cracking and creaking noises are thus effectively avoided. Instructions for toplocking screw Unscrew the knurled screw on the adjusting axis anti-clockwise until the clamping ball comes off. Now press the strings against the clamping ball. Under pressure, it recedes. You can now put the guitar string through the adjusting axis. Screw the knurled screw clockwise until it is hand tight. The string is now secured by the clamping ball. Now you can tune your strings. Now featuring a metric thread and a specially developed screw locking device, so you don`t lose the screw anymore! When loosening the screws, turn them anticlockwise until the string is tightened into position. When removing the connecing screws completely  from the shafts, simply take the connecting screw out of the shaft at threshold resistance.  The Schaller Toplocking with fine pitch thread and pull-off locking screw. Fine Pitch Thread for better locking adjustment. Our new Toplocking screw with fine pitch thread allows the screw to be turned more precisely and the locking torque to be adjusted more accurately. New pull-off mechanism that makes pulling off as easy as putting back on To prevent the toplocking screw from coming off and getting lost in the process of string changing we designed a new mechanism keeping the loosened screw in place even when it is completely unfastened. To remove the Toplocking screw entirely from the string post just pull it off firmly. To put the screw back on just turn clockwise and tighten lightly. LockMeister® 6
Schaller LockMeister® 6 Tremolo – beyond your expectations     Since its debut in 2012, the Schaller LockMeister® became the most advanced locking tremolo: 100 % Made in Germany – designed, engineered, and manufactured. Now we present the first double-locking tremolo that allows individual adjustment to different fretboards, whether straight or compound radius! The new LockMeister system can now be adapted to different fingerboard radii. While locking nuts (R2/R3) were previously only available with 10″ and tremolos with 12″, there are now 5 different locking nut radii and 4 different tremolo radii to choose from.   (Fig. 1: Schaller GmbH) The flowing transition from a strongly curved fingerboard in the lower registers to a flatter radius in the higher registers can now be realized exclusively with the new LockMeister system. LockMeister® 6 pitch perfect triple feature – choose between: 4 x LockMeister Tremolos with fixed bridge radii: 10″, 12″, 14″ and 16″ (Fig. 2: Schaller GmbH) 5 x LockMeister Locking Nuts: 8″, 10″, 12″, 14″ and 16″ (Fig. 3: Schaller GmbH) Also new: extended fine-tuner screws for a wider tuning range! (Fig. 4: Schaller GmbH) Pitch perfect features – only available for LockMeister® 6 New height-adjusted one-piece string saddles: no more shims needed between saddle and baseplate. Fully closed string saddles on the bottom for optimum hold and contact to the baseplate: falling out saddle cover plates are history. This ensures better playability and more fun while playing the guitar.   Every single part is manufactured with the highest precision at Schaller on CNC machines, for brilliant and precise surfaces and a long service life! About guitar neck profiles and playability The neck profile, your own hand, and the fretboard radius determine comfort and playability. A rounder fingerboard conforms more to the natural curvature of the fingers, which is ideal for playing in lower registers, such as chords and barré grips. A flat radius provides a more even playing surface, ideal for bending and faster vertical playing in higher registers, which is often preferred for solos.
